Late last season I bought a 40volt 8″ lithium auger, this season when drilling holes it wants to quit half way down the hole. Called Strikemaster, talked to Chris he said it was the blades or the pitch on the auger. Before I send the auger in to strikemaster I took a 7″ auger off of my gas auger with brand new never used blades and it still does the same thing. I think the problem is in the head but Chris still seems think it’s the auger or the blades. Anybody else had this problem and what was needed to fix this problem?

Search for a post on this back in January. Sounds like the same problem.

Did new blades or adjusting the pitch of the auger fix anything?

I don’t remember exactly but I think it was some sort if internal switch, relay, or battery. You can go back and read all the posts on it.

mine did something similar last winter; it would drill then cut out like it was losing a connection. Not sure if thats what yours is doing? but mine did this randomly a few times in the one night. So i sprayed all of the buttons and battery connectors with electronic cleaning spray and havent had an issue since
