I always used the Stren Magnathin walleye color.
Is there any line that performs and appears the same in the present market?
I have tried a few different brands and types of mono without satisfaction.

I loved the stuff too! I tried lots of co-polymer lines for a few years and just gave up.

Was a big Stren Magnathin user then about 20 years ago I switched to P line CX, thin like Magnathin, flexible, and extremely strong. I buy it by the 3000 yard spools now. My first use was when fishing in Alaska for salmon, had 4000 series reels and was looking for a thin but strong mono and it was perfect.

It’s been my go back to line for several years now. Tried lots of others, some good, some bad, but seem to always be more satisfied with Magnathin when I can find it.

Does the P Line CX exhibit any memory coiling?

Could you cast the 8# P line CX on a spincaster?

This has been my go-to monofilament line for spinning reels.
