Fished one for the first time this year for a couple hours today and caught 5 crappies and one bullhead. Used a pink/white ratso with a waxie, and a red glow diamond jig w/waxie. Pretty good chance that it’ll be the last time I’ll be able to fish it this winter after this weeks warm weather. I’m glad I made it out while I had the chance.

Been thinking about hitting a back water area also but man this weather has me itching to pitch some jigs.

Always fun to catch river specks.

Hate to sound dumb, but I don’t know where to go around the rochester area to catch fish. I mainly do walleye fishing up north, but am sick of foster arends park in rochester. I’m not looking for tips really-just other lakes to try. Any suggestions? Where can I get a detailed map of the lakes around here? Thanks!
