Tried some open water north of Cedar Falls Tuesday with no success. Tried anything from paddletails to crankbaits, working both fast and very slow. I was able to fish some deeper water, but i think the current was too fast in those sections, with most of the deeper holes covered in ice. Ice was a bit sketchy out there, so be careful.
