The river is starting to get slushy, anyone have any luck before this cold snap set in? I kept meaning to get out but with hunting in full swing, hard to find time! Anyone hitting some eyes, pike, or smallies?
Had planned taking off Thanksgiving week but only got Monday afternoon off. Tried 3 spots I’ve been waiting all year to try. The first 2 produced nothing, the 3rd, I watched my son get 4 or 5 nice smallmouth, 1 18″ walleye, me, 1 walleye guessing 18″ got off at the boat and 4 or 5 misses.
Looks like she’s about to freeze up. Up north near Janesville it was almost frozen across.
