Hit the Cedar south of Waverly. Water was still higher but clearing up a bit, water also felt colder than last week. Finesse rigged crawlers, cast crankbaits and a few jigs. Managed one small crappie, a couple small Walleye, a couple decent smallies and some redhorse suckers.

Fished from about 1:30pm till 5:00pm

I’m not familiar with finesse rigging, are you talking about a dork (slipsinker) rig. If so, how much are you moving it. If you’re getting the little guys there should be better fish in the same areas.

What i call a Finesse rig, is a snell about 2-3ft long with swivel, then a 1/4ox.-3/8oz. bullet sinker above the swivel. I use the bullet sinker since it doesn’t seem to collect as much debris, or spin in the current.

I didn’t try too hard this sunday, i didn’t move around much, i was “recovering” from the weekend in Ames for the Iowa vs. Iowa State game…..
