Herdin’ livestock 5/5

Went out today for a while with my buddy Joe to see if we could scratch up some cats. The channels were a bit off today with only a few eaters coming to the boat. We fished a tributary stream just up from the main channel as the river itself seemed just a bit high. I think the dropping water level may have the cat bite a bit off. After a somewhat frustrating morning, Joe says that he’s never caught a sheepshead, and he’d like to, so we headed out to one of my favorite woolgatherin’ spots on the main channel and turned this gal up in about five minutes.

Nice fish, sheepies are always fun especially when the bites not real good, not bad eating too out of early spring water.

If it weren’t for the whole needing a day to take it easy, I shoulda called you up. The rain on Friday gave me the day off yesterday.
