Fished downstream from the Waverly dam today to start the day off. Ended up with 4 fish, one carp, one smallie, one catfish, and one walleye. Fishing was pretty slow, but it was better than sitting inside all day. The catfish was the biggest cat i’ve ever caught, not sure on any size or weight measurements as i let her go, but i’m guessing around 12-14lbs, pretty hefty, and caught her on 4lbs test! The walleye was a nice 14″ male that made his way to my fridge for dinner tomorrow night.

Looks like you are fishing the bend on the cedar just down from the dam.

Yep, sure am. I was actually fishing in someones backyard The water flooded into the yard, and created a perfect slack water to fast water transition that, and their cement bench just happened to be next to the water, perfect for sitting!

oh you were right by the green bridge in the back of Ray Mehmens yard. Just walk soft on their yard and they don’t mind if you walk in there.

This time of year after they have had time to filter out all the sediment thier great eating, let us know how it tastes! Im thinking im pretty right on the weight, A very nice fish!
