How did everybody do during the high water?I got out once just before it peaked, boy did I have FUN.Didn,t have any thing close to a hit, nice to get out though. Then it went downhill, came to the boat landing thinking its sort of out of the current,ya right(I think all the current moved there just for me).Any way I go to back the trailer in and there’s a car in the way so after the shimeyshonga(don’t ask)I go to drive the boat on and I get pushed by the current so I’m pointed at a 45 angle going in the 6′ hole between the dock and sumerged wood piling.Well got it on angled,so I thought I’d just go ahead and ajust it by hand. The only thing is the current is pushing against me so as my friend(small female)sat in the back of my truck laughing at me for 15 mins,I decided I,m going to jump in boots and all and get it on.so the guy sitting in his car watching all this asked if he could help(thank God). Finally after a little talk with the boat, yelling at the current(didn’t help),being laughed at wishing she had a camera and a helpful stranger I conquered. And This is what I call FUN.Any way its back down now think I’ll try the cats.GOOD FISHING.

I’ve had that same problem, same river. High water really puts the damper on main-channel ramps.

It helps a lot to keep the trailer high and pull it on with the winch. Get the nose between the bunks and pull it on dry; the bunks or rollers will help center it.

Thanks Gianni,I did pull out alittle more than normal but the boat was so far off I had to get the one side on the bunk and the current would push it off when I did get it close.Thats when the nice gentleman helped get it on and than held it why I cranked it up.
I think next time I’ll just have enough in the water to start it up on the bunks, adjust and crank like you said.Usally I drive it on with the 40 horse.I think it might be easier to have the ramp facing slightly downstream, instead of just being straight out(or in this case slightly facing upstream)but I’m thankful they are there anyway.
Thanks again for the help,I’ll give it a go.
