Water Levels??

Anyone been on the Cedar Lately? Are the water levels coming down and is it clearing up any? Thanks in advance!!

Was down below the lower dam here in town about 2 hrs ago and the waters up about 10″ to 12″ from what it was a couple weeks ago. I didn’t know the water was up and thought it was still at winter level. The water is halfway clear with human visability around 12″ to 15″ or a little more maybe, fish can always see farther. The water looked good, haven’t been to the wapsi but i will soon, its probably clearer. Is all this water coming from southern minnesota, most of it probably is.

I haven’t been on the river, but I check daily, (high water ruins my life when the bite’s been good) Give it another 3 days in our area WW, the clarity isn’t what I’d like to see, but the level should be appropriate pretty soon. I like to watch the areas that I know should be really low flow this time of year, once you can tell that the flow’s gone down in them it’s time to be fishin’ again. A good place to watch in your specific neck of the woods is the pockets downstream of the bridge on 1st!
