Fished a small creek that dumps into the Iowa River tonight. Normally smallmouths up to about 15 inches are what we get, but we tried a different stretch of the stream tonight. I had never fished it this far north, but it was just full of northerns. Ended up with 4 landed, 4 bite-offs, and 4 fish we lost at our feet. Just like normal, the fish were hanging out in the deep holes. Got a couple smallies as well, with the biggest only going 13 inches or so. Ive got one northern picture, but I still cant get photos to load on indepthangling.
