Went to Vinton last night and fished for a while. Didn’t get lucky until the girlfriend showed up later on. 
I hadn’t even had anything tapping the bait giving me false hopes until she showed up. Right after she got there, One rod just took off screaming and I got myself a little flathead on it. Then a little later, the clicker on the C3 started screaming and the girlfriend landed a smaller channel cat (musta hit it going about mach 2), her first rod and reel kitty. 
I think/hope she’s hooked on the whiskered fish now. Only two fish for the night, but it was a beautiful night to be on the river bank and amanda being able to land her first kitty made it worth it. Pictures coming later.
