Fished the cedar North of Cedar Falls from 10:30am-4:00pm. Caught one 14+” smallie, one 6″ smallis, a tiny channel cat and one 14″ Walleye. Better than yesterday, but still not very good considering how well the Cedar fishes in the fall. Water is getting pretty low (my prop can attest to that) and the clarity is starting to come around. It’s about 1 foot of clarity right now. Used jigs and minnow, #5 floaters, and several other lures mixed in.

Glad you are getting out and beating the water Dylan! Bet it was still a great day on the water, even if you didnt get a ton of fish or many nice ones.

So much for the clarity. It looks like chocolate milk this morning. I was surprised to find the smallies still biting well over the weekend with a few small walleyes mixed in. Might have gotten nipped by some crappies, but my bait was too big for the papermouths. I was just casting jigs. Bobber guys were picking up a catfish or 2 from the same waters as the smallies. If it doesn’t come up too much after this rain fishing should be decent this weekend too.

don’t worry about this rain we really need it. The river in waverly right now is about a foot low and it should help bring it up to a decent level then i can head up stream to my honey hole.
