18″ 15′ 2-14″ 6 10-12″ smallies in the Waterloo area last thursday. They were hitting chartreuse twisters and #1 mepps spinners with the gold or fire tiger blade. Any deep holes or rip-rap banks held fish.

Put the boat in at Waverly and floated down to a little north of Janesville. Picked up 4 eye from 15-10″, and two dinks. Lost a larger fish, pretty sure it was an larger eye since i was in the same area we caught all the other eyes. Also caught 3 smallmouth with the biggest being about 12″. All were on shad raps or taildancers.

was it pretty shallow floating down there??? We put in there in waverly by the green bridge in jan. and went down stream and then came back up and it was pretty shallow then i would imagine it is real shallow now???

Yeah, pretty shallow. Got stuck a couple times, but since it was my first time on that section of river, it was too be expected.

Got out 8/5 for the afternoon, water was shallow and clarity poor. Got a 23″ and a 22″ as well as several fish for the pan. Smallies from about 10-14″ for the taking. All casting cranks, pics to follow.

Picked up one keeper eye and a few other smaller eyes and smallies today in Nashua. Jigs and cranks were both working.

What time were you in Nashua? I was there from 9:30 until 12:30, I was on the east side below the dam. I caught 1 small walleye on a rebel crawdad crankbait, and several catfish on liver, brought 3 home to eat.

I was there 4:00 to about 7:30ish. Started on the east side then waded out to the island in the middle. Most fish came on a coton cordell crawdad crank and eye and a smallie on a 4″ ringie.
