I took a tour of the black river today down by onalaska, lacrosse area.. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with fishing the river for cats? I put in by brices prarie up river from Brices Praire (I think it’s called) but I love to fish new water/river sytems. ANyone have any info or luck fishing it for cats or anything else??
They get some really nice cats by the black river beach fishing at night. Earlier this year there was one in the paper that some gal caught that was big. I recently ran into a guy at dusk that was setting up shop for the night just south of the I-90 bridge. He was out cattin.
Ive caught some nice flatheads in there trolling cranks for walleyes a couple different times. Near the I-90 bridge and just north of the train bridge where the black meets the miss.
