River is low at Waverly. Between 4 of us we managed to catch 11 eyes. Largest was 20″. Caught 3 large crappies and 1 18″ largemouth. The bites are very far in between, we fished for 8 hours. First thing in the morning we caught them on chartruese ringworms and afternoon we switched to electric blue/white tail ringies. After this next week of warm weather, I look for them to come on strong.

    Good Luck Fishing

Next week should be the ticket If anyone is looking for ringworms, Scheels in Cedar Falls has a few of them. If you go to buy some, ask them to get some more colors to add to their selection and some Super Doos.

I was there friday evening with son and we caught 2 eyes in about an hour. Went again on sat and got 0. Kid had two on but lost them. White ringworm seemed the best. After that went above the dam aways and started catching smallmouths(not intencially)on chartuese ringworms. Highlight of that spot was my oldest boy caught a 30in. northern. It was his first time out fishing in about 5 years and his biggest fish. Went back today and got nothing not even a bite. But there sure were alot of people there. Fished for an hour and a half. Didn’t see anything caught either. Figured it was way to sunny for eyes to bite as we caught them on friday after the sun had set.

We caught all of ours on saturday. We were in the 2 Alumacraft boats. Should have stopped to talk. Might try it again this weekend, also thought about running over to Storm Lake and give it a try.

    Nice northern thenn
