any suggestions around CR

Planning on being in CR this weekend to visit the folks. Might try and spend a little time on the river. Any suggestions where I might have a reasonable shot at an eye or two. All I could think of was below the roller and the mouth of squaw. Any thoughts???

try the cedar, up by Vinton if you have a boat. Try the Wapsi below Central City or Anamosa if you don’t.

If you’re in CR, I would try the Wapsi at CC or Independence (about another 45 minutes of driving, though). I’ve heard of eyes below the tube at coralville, but I always should’ve been there yesterday.

Well, I never did make it out. Did notice there was quite a few fishing downtown, just above Mays island. Also, I did hear some ramblings while in town of a walleye bite last week around town.
