What is happening for bugs?

Planning on comming down from Winona to catch some trout. I havn’t fished the SW WI streams yet. Time to learn some of them. Flyfishing for trout used to be a real passion. I’ve logged many thousands of hours on central/northern WI, Upper Michigan and Wyoming streams. I live Catch and release. Anyway, What has there been lately for bugs down there? Any Hex? I plan to scout the LaCross River tomorrow night in search of them. Any other types of May-flies on the other creeks and streams?
Don’t blame you if you don’t want to put this info on the board but it would be appreciated.

I live in the U.P.(Iron Mountain). The big Hex hatch is just starting across the area. Water has been higher than normal but dropped and warmed dramatically lately.I would say that your area in question should be well into the Hex.
We caught some nice trout last week on March Browns and Caddis. I am leaving for Bozeman Mt. on August 12 to fish heaven for a week. Good Luck,
