Strapped on the waders today and spent some time in a couple holes in Waterloo. The water has dropped alittle (still above normal for this time of year) but clarity is around 6′, winter clear anyways.
Had no hits, no runs, 1 error .About the time I get down there the clouds show up w/ the wind and there are the ducks I’ve been chasing on the marsh.
Now watch I’ll go hunting again and the eyes will be on the feed bag.

i hear ya, me and my buddy tried down around Laporte a few days ago and had absolutely no action, but the guy sitting in his blind had some luck on the ducks. we saw plenty of hulls floating downriver and lots of feathers. i guess thats just how it goes.

I was out Sunday and we got 7 between us with the largest about 20″, below Waterloo. Just pitching jigs with minnows and letting them tumble with the current popping it ocassionally. Got one solid slam of a hit. The other two were just pickups. All of ours are still in there, nice healthy fish. I hope it stays this warm all winter.
