That’s really good to hear. I finally made the switch to YouTube TV in November, something I wish I wouldn’t done a very long time ago.

The money around sports and TV rights is insane. I was listening to a podcast with Jim Ross (old WWF announcer) and he was saying nowadays sports franchise owners really don’t worry too much about attendance compared to the old days because they make up for it so much in TV money. He compared it to movies and said the venue where live sports are held is like a TV studio, and it’s more important that they reach more people than get the people in attendance.

Networks and channels are going to use this to their advantage and push as far as they can, and we’ll probably see more and more disputes like this. My brother’s in-laws haven’t had FSN for over a year (can’t remember their company) due to a dispute.

I wonder how many people cancelled their subscriptions in that 24 or so hour period between these announcements. I was one myself. YouTube tv is so much better than anything I’ve used in the past. Awesome to have 6 different lines so you can share with other people and/or households.

Dan did you see the money Romo will be making for CBS calling football on Sundays? Crazy money in sports TV these days.

You Tube has come to an agreement with Sinclair to continue to carry Fox Regional Sports Networks in select areas. I am good in Wisconsin.

I did not switch at the initial announcement and was glad when I saw they had reached a long term deal… however, tonight I fired up the tv to tune in and noticed FSN was gone… chatted with them and my zip code is not covered… back to HULU I go…

I haven’t, how much is it?

On a related note, did you hear about how ESPN wants to trade for Al Michaels? Most people have heard plenty of criticism of the Monday Night Football broadcast crew and I guess ESPN really wants to fix it. They’re looking to trade for Michaels and would like to pair him with Payton Manning, and pay Manning $20 million. You’re right, TV money is where it’s at.

Just recieved email that Hulu is no longer allowed to stream FSN. Does YouTube live still have FSN?

Well we were just getting ready to switch from YouTube TV after they lost FSN and switching to Hulu TV.

So, who IS still offering streaming FSN then?

Makes ya wonder what FSN is asking for or trying to pull that all of a sudden no one has streaming privileges.

This SUCKS! Not just for local sports but I was really looking forward to watching Jon Gillespie shout his way through another fishing trip this morning, only to find FSN disappeared from my channel listing!

Sounds like Contract issues and they’re working to resolve but currently have no agreement. Hopefully they’ll be back soon and old Johnny will be chowing Johnsonvilles in my living room every Saturday at 9:00am again. lol

FSN needs Hulu and YouTube more than they need FSN. With more and more people streaming, they’re going to lose some big time ad revenue.

At least it’s not Hockey Season yet.

While my son and I enjoy our weekend outdoor shows, the wife’s buy in comes with access to hockey. So while I miss the outdoor shows at the moment, I need to find a solution before hockey starts again.

The only remaining streaming option for FSN is AT&T Now at $80/month.

At some point the contracts will be renewed with the streaming services. My guess is once hockey/basketball seasons start.

FYI, Gillespie is now posting his shows on YouTube at the same time they air on FSN. More and more outdoor shows are putting their episodes on YT.

A shame you can’t just a la carte your channels – espn $6/ month, history $2, etc. Gotta pay for the pork I never watch.

I’m looking into streaming options now provided by my cable company. They still have fsn and it’s actually cheaper than Hulu.

Interesting business model FSN has, make their content unavailable to pretty much everyone. I have Dish and its been gone from there for a couple of years now.

If only there was a la carte option. I’d pay $10/mo. or so for FSN alone. Instead I have to find illegal streams online and cast it to my TV. It works great and is full HD. I feel the company is losing lots of $$$ by not providing their service across all platforms.
