An awesome day on the river. Multiple 20+ inch walleyes and we even got a rare quillback and what I believe is a redhorse, enjoy!

Read this, especially the sentence following citation number 3.

Quillback are not rare. It is rare to have a fair caught quillback meaning in the mouth.
What Auto posted is very correct. They just don’t actively feed on traditional baits.

Drop a camera, they are abundant.

Biggest I caught was on a 3 ounce, 9/0 jig with a 5″ twister tail and cut bait.

Awesome, I’m going there on Thursday. Any advice for a first time pool 2 trip?

Sorry Dan, just saw this. Quarter ounce bright jig with a fathead. You don’t have to fish near the crowds. There are fish all over, just anchor up on any current break and work the whole area with your jig.
