My wife and I boated to the line last night on the Croix and hung around for bit. Right next to the high train bridge.
There was this constant sound that seamed to come from every direction. Kind of a croaking but not. My wife kept thinking frogs but I dont think so. It was weird. At one points I wondered if it was coming from underwater. Anyone know what I am talking about?

I’d be willing to bet it’s frogs. I live near the St. Croix and have a small swamp/pond in the back of the property. With the windows open in the evening lately the sound is almost deafening. It’s mating season for those buggers and they are fired up. All types of sounds and tones that they make, it’s really kinda of cool.

    The only explanation.

The Arcola Trail Bridge is a “White Lady” haunting. The apparition of a woman, dressed all in white, searches for lost husband near the Arcola Trail Bridge. A number of “White Lady” hauntings are described throughout the United States. Whether these stories represent folklore or actual hauntings that occur as a result of certain tragic events at these locations is hard to say.

There is also a legend concerning a blue light at the Arcola Trail Bridge. Blue lights are another common paranormal event described in a lot of places, including a number of bridges in the United States.

Yeah, but it’s a great spot to spend the night in a boat!

One of my favorite stretches of the Croix to pull up to shore. (WHen there aren’t kids throwing rocks)
TOss out two lines, and take a nap until morning!

Haven’t seen any ghosts yet ) Just a few big THUMPS in the night

Yea, that hole was full of marks. Caught 3 sheeps as fast as I lowered a worm.
I only fished it for 5 minutes or so.
