Are you guys who own Stowmasters happy with them?

Is a 20′ x 24″ big enough for walleyes and an occasional big northern?

Mine works well but the bag eats crankbaits. I ended up going to an ego with the rubber net. I’d spend too much time with the stowmaster pulling trebles out.

That’s the size I use and I’ve never had issues.

Does the Ego fold up like the Stowmaster?

Pretty sure that’s the size I have and I like it. It does tangle hooks but never had much trouble getting them out, not a big enough problem for me that I’d give up having it fit in a storage compartment. Don’t think I’ve netted a “big” northern but maybe like 30″ or 32″ and it’s good enough if you happen to catch one.

If you are looking for other space saving things look up “box anchor”. I use the “baby” size for a competitor 165 and it works great.

The stowmaster is good if space is a premium. The ego takes up a lot of space since the bag doesn’t fold in half.

I have had one for several years and like it. I ended up putting a Ranger bag on it and it is much more tangle free. The 20×24 is plenty big for walleye and northern.

We have a huge one that we use for salmon and the occasional sturgeon. It’s a really nice net but we really don’t use it more than a few times per year. If I remember correctly it wasn’t cheap that’s for sure.
