He seems to have that look a couple times now. He should maybe get that checked out by a doctor. Maybe it’s just a lazy eye and he doesn’t even know it.

I follow JohnDee.com closely because he is generally the most accurate for snow forecasts and he has 8 to 12 through central MN to heavier totals in northern wisconsin and the UP. He says it will be another long duration snow event. The wind is what concerns me. My utility trailer is in the back of my hard and we have around a foot of snow here already so I will need to get that moved tonight or tomorrow or it will be stuck there all winter. I have a spot blown out for it already just need to drive back there an get it out. A couple years ago I waited too long and almost buried my truck in my yard. That was interesting.

lmao 52 inches of snow in northern Wisconsin?! Good god almighty
Been there, done that.
I played B ball at Gogebic CC for a year in Ironwood, and lived on Silver Street in Hurley across the border bridge. Over Thanksgiving break all the roommates headed to their homes across the UP.
I stayed, and we had a multi day lake-effect blizzard. When it finished, there was snow up to the second floor windows of the business’s on the north side of Silver Street. My Volkswagon Rabbit was under 6 level feet of wind blown snow on a sidestreet.
My in-laws live 7 miles west of Hurley/Ironwood (yes, I married a “Hurley girl”) and 52 inches in a weeks time is alot but not unprecedented. My FIL was a lineman for Xcel energy, and some of the nasty stuff and storms he had to go out in was unreal.
Forecast from an “amateur” meterologist I’d recommend following if you’re on the FB.

You dont say!

You’re right, its not unprecedented. Almost any location on or near the Great Lakes could experience this. The north shore did last week, I expect the south shore to this week.

He’s a good follow in a world with very few when it comes to Social Media. His stuff is generally pretty accurate, and I like that he pushes back a bit in the comments when people want to bash weather predictions made days in advance for a storm system 1500 miles away.

Novak Weather is the only forecaster I pay attention to these days. Yesterday, I was home for lunch and flipped on one of the twin cities local broadcasts. Weather guy was pointing out that the metro would be seeing a 1/2″, 1″ tops and nothing west. I looked outside (in Wright county) and it was snowing hard with about 2″ accumulated. Ended up with 3-4″ of fluff.
I always love Frankie’s forecast
His tips to survive storms are always the best, “order your Chinese food!” lol
With these temps the snow should be pretty light compared to what came down last week. It will not have the same moisture content or weight which means it will blow around even more.
Good (relative at best) for the lakes (or at least wanna be ice fisherman).

Who is this?
Oh, He isnt an amateur though he is a real meteorologist. He just isnt on TV he does MPR I think.
For some reason I cant quote anyone today, must be the dang terrible weather freezing all of the little bytes ahead of it.
Anyway, Glenn57 I bet its that same look he had in his eyes when I told him he brought the wrong direction auger bit and we had to go back to town to get my chainsaw or we wasnt going fishing!!
Him determined?? I guess!!!!
I had heard reports of over 50” in parts of the Black hills from last weeks storm.
According to this picture the report ish’t to far off base.
Yea from my little corner of the world here in Cold Spring this winter weather warning so far has been way…. Way over blown.
We’ve simply had a nice all day snow that maybe amounted to 5-6 inches.

“Blown” will be the word of the day by this time tomorrow
We’re in the calm before the storm right now, enjoy it while it lasts
I definitely did not get 6 inches of snow. Probably more like 3 here.
I’m close to 5 by now still snowing. SE metro winds will be real fun next two days. Seems semi accurate here winds were predicted for tomorrow.
5” west of town on top of the 4 on Monday. If the wind gusts to over 40 like they’re saying, it’s going to get interesting out here on the prairie.
A good 6 by now coming down harder now than all day. Wind tomorrow is going to be a mess
Have to admit the new truck is pretty fun to drive around in this stuff.
Maybe we are the bullseye, LOL. Been weird watching the radar it just doesn’t move much.
looks like a dud here in SE MN at this point……i had a feeling this was overblown but i will be on some ice tomorrow if the wind holds off?

We were supposed to be in the 6″ to 11″ and only got between 2-1/2″ to 3″.
