Fished Storm for the first time in about 7 years. Friday we trolled cranks with the best results using jointed shad raps. Eyes ran from 13 1/2″ to 23″. Water temp was 80 to 81.
Saturday we tried a few different things. Seemed leeches
were what they wanted. white bass, bullhead, catfish and walleyes. We anchored on the cut west of the big island, but all the fish that were down there had lock jaw. We pulled the anchor and started drifting. The drift was .5 to .6 mph and that seemed to do the trick.
Saturday was nice on the water with the sw breeze even with the 97 degree temp.
All fish were released but two… a fat 21″ cat and a fat 16 1/2″ eye. They were a great Sunday dinner.
