Wow! – looks like it was very wide spread damage in northern MN.

I drove hwy 6 this past Friday and Sunday. Been driving that road for 30 plus years and never seen that many trees down. Also heard hwy 169 was shut down also. Took 4 hours just to open 1 Lane.

Nice – I close on my cabin on Roosevelt Sept 1. I wonder if the trees will grow back by then.

Got a friend with a cabin on bass lake north of there. They had huge pine trees down. One the took out their deck and part of their roof.

Probably one of the worst storms in memory.

Our families cabin is just south of Thunder Lake. We lost a number of trees on the property and there were 60+ big white pines on the road just near our driveway. We we fortunate that no one got hurt and the only damage was the power line was ripped off the cabin.

WOW!!!!!! not good there hemi. there was a place we drove by had 2 pines laying on the roof.

I did notice most if not all the trees tipped over where poplar and pine. wet ground and shallow root systems more then likely!

Hemi – were those straight line winds? Pic 16 looks more like a tornado whipped thru there.

Yep, these were the strait line winds that hit northern MN last week. Sounds like a number of areas had similar damage. The one pic with the shed is showing a pine that was fully uprooted, but most of the trees were snapped.

My kids were out camping on Burntside with their grandparents when that storm rolled through. Everyone was ok there as well but two large trees came down on the island they were camping on.
