Stitches

Fishing last weekend, my buddy caught a green tagged eye. Took measurements etc. and sent in the info. I’ve done the process before with reward tags but have not seen or heard of a green tag. My question is that on the belly was about an inch long incision that had been sewn shut. Is this some tracker implanted in the fish? Any info appreciated as I’m sure you guys will know more than me.

Ahhhh. Yes. That sounds right. I do remember reading this article last year now.
