I recently purchased a MS-251 with 18″ bar. I want to purchase case for it but have read bad reviews on the new case available for this saw AND it’s $85! Has anyone purchased the new case and would recommend it?

My dad has an older Stihl chainsaw and has the case that goes with it. It was similar to this one. The hinges on the head part of the case have failed and it is kind of worthless. I wouldn’t want to pay 85.00 for that case. They have non-Stihl brand cases for about half that price.
The Husqvarna case gets great reviews and half the price. And is a shape where it holds more than just the saw, like oil, wrenches, extra chain etc.

The Stihl case does look worthless doesn’t it. Thanks Munchy for the link, looks like that one will work.
Take a look at Home Depot options.
I have the cheapest one, power king $32, and it doesn’t get merchandise use but looks like the husqvarna has be and works just fine for my ms180. Not sure how it will work for you or fit the ms250 but sure is a cheap option.
Just checked Lowe’s and they have the same Husqvarna case for $10 less and many stores have them in stock.
Will the husqavarna case fit a stihl ms250 with an 18” bar?
