Okay, I have a bit of a sweet tooth. Today, I made a couple of batches of homemade caramel corn to munch on while I am being a couch potato.

Chocolate chip cookie dough is in the fridge cooling down – easier to handle the dough when cold. I will bake them tonight. My wife has the coffee pot set up to brew when cookies come out of the oven.

The cookies will probably be on my list before the weekend is over. My wife loves German Chocolate cake but doesn’t want to eat the whole cake so I’m going to try a double chocolate chip cookie with German chocolate frosting on them.

Personally, I’m finding that almost ANYTHING qualifies as a snack food in my house now, and it’s only been a few days…
I’m POSITIVE I would never have snacked on my wife’s rice cake last week; apparently I now like them?

Sounds like a worthwhile experiment. Another option is to make German chocolate cupcakes, freeze them and frost when you thaw them out. Your wife gets portion control, you get brownie points.

I have two huge cans (1-mandarin oranges & 1-pineapple tidbits) & I plan to dehydrate it all for snacks. Not sure if it’s healthy but that’s not really what I’m looking for……..Big sweet tooth here too.

I’m not a baker but I have a Marie Callendar dutch apple pie in the freezer which is going to find it’s way in the oven in the next couple days. Those Marie Callendar pies are actually very good.

Ice Cap, I will agree with you with the exception of the apple. It doesn’t matter how long you bake those darn things and the apples are still hard. I make a much better apple pie.

For a sweet tooth fix, cashew brittle…… easy to make and addictive. Wife calls it “sugar cocaine”… jester

We have been doing that a lot to. Busy making maple syrup also. Was just thinking last night about trying to combine the two and ad in some nuts.

Any of the carmel corn, peanut brittle and maple syrup stuff ya’ll can keep. frown Ruins and wastes good popcorn, tastes like burnt sugar and I think it is just tree urine. redface Just never acquired the taste for the three, but I’m glad it appeals to you.

Dehydrated fruits are a great thing to have around peace plus deluxe mixed nuts, gardettos, kettle chips and of course the big yellow tupperware bowl and fresh yellow popcorn with clarified butter!! Yes please, wave I have one to myself while watching a movie with headphones after “she who must be obeyed” bow has retired.
