Had to get new zippers put in the otter resort hub. How long to put it all back together from a pile of poles and canvas? Starting the stopwatch now, will report back. You guys can bet amongst yourselves on the over/under 1 hr 30mins. I’m betting on the over……

Reminds of a time at work.

We were working in the winter and the city requirement was to cover and heat the water meter on the hydrant.

    Simple enough…..toss a pop-up over it with a sunflower and a 20lber.

It was a long day and we finished up in the middle of the night.

I told a guy on my crew (let’s call him Dave), “Hey Dave, go tear down the tent, shut down the hydrant, and pull the meter.”

Simple enough task. Or so I thought.

30 minutes passed and I began to wonder where the hell Dave was. It was a five minute job….

Just as I went to go check on him, here he comes walking with the pop-up tore all apart like yours LOL

I guess that’s what happens when you send a non-ice fisherman for an ice fisherman’s job jester

By the way….his name was Dave mrgreen

    Drifter…

Before I’m placing any bets, I’ll need to know if the “Blue smoothies” will be opened when you get started, sometime during the task, or once the mission has been accomplished. grin

I’ll take the under, but it depends on how you answer Andy’s question.

And stop the watch!!!!! Not bad. Had to start over a couple times but got it. Wife checked on me a time or two when she heard a few phrases that can’t be repeated here from inside the house. Zippers look much more durable than the originals. Got one hub that could use replacement. I’ll see if I can order one.

Made it through the task at hand, but I am thirsty now. Got to run to town, but I think there’s a meat raffle at the local watering hole that starts at 3. Bet I can get the wife to stop on our way home!?!? Anyone want to bet on that? If you come down I’ll buy you a birthday drink! Happy birthday bud!

Well that wasn’t so bad. Take it back apart and reassemble when you get home later this afternoon. razz

Speaking of…last time I saw you in person, you won meat at the raffle, was the only one who caught a walleye that night and it was your Birthday that weekend. woot
