My brother is a professional fabricator. He works a lot with stainless steel making big industrial ovens and such. He made these trolling trees for me on his lunch break today. I plan on polishing them up and getting rubber caps for them. Anyone know where I can find rubber caps that measure 1.5″ ID and 2″ OD? I found one place online (poormanrodholders.com) but they wanted $45 for shipping for a $14 dollar order (6 caps).

February 16, 2015 at 7:44 pm #1512329Just curious why the caps? I built a set for myself last year and made it so handles bottom out on my dips rods and planer rods and reels never make any contact with end of tube also are easy to get out when u got a screamer on, if the rod is in to deep it’s very hard getting it out of the tube. Just my .02.
