The water is about as dark as I have seen it in a few years. At least in by shore. I think it’s from heavy rains and runoff?

I’m up in the NE corner. Is it the same around the lake?

Interesting guessing it is from recent rains. I have not looked close enough lately.

Yup it is a dark stain. Normally gin clear now looks like tea.

I noticed week before last when we were at Fisher’s, water was stained dark.

There was heavy rain that week, standing water in grassy areas.

Water here on the west side is maybe more cloudy than usual, but not stained at all like on the NE side.

    Thanks Andy

I just took a boat ride to the north center part of the lake and it was stained but not nearly as much as the NE side

Have family coming this weekend and prefer to swim in clear water….

    Well?

I don’t know but my grandsons had no reservations about swimming in the stained water. Still seemed fresh and clean water, they were out there for hours.

Perceptions maybe when you’re used to clear water?

Maybe you should just take the family pike fishing. wink

BTW, Fisher’s was a delightful resort, we really enjoyed it all.

Beautiful grounds and so much space to roam. I think I found your boat slip too.

My kids would have no problem swimming in it either. I’m sure they will.

I’ve gotten a bit more picky when given the choice….. gotten used to seeing my toes in 3.5 ft of water and crystal clear… kinda prefer it that way cool

Is it maybe just stained from the swamps full and draining?I’m sure there are alot of the tannic stained lakes up there.
