    Hey guys,
I saved up my “man cash”, and want to buy a striker ice climate bibs/jacket and a Vexilar FLX 28. Should I watch for sales on these things, or will I get a better deal at the ice show starting Nov 30th. Cabelas often has 10% off plus free shipping. That’s pretty good, but should I wait for the show? My stash of cash isn’t huge. I’ve been squirrelling my cash all year. So I need to be careful where I spend it. Please advise.
    Thanks brothers.

I have always had pretty good luck at the show when dealing in cash. Go to all the different major store booths and ask them what the best deal they can give you is, tell them you pay cash. See who gives you the best price and go with it. Reeds has always been very good to me.

I would wait for the show and if you can bring cash in even better discounts.

Agreed, the ice show is the way to go. I got a bunch of stuff last year at the Milwaukee show on the last day for some smoking deals. I’m a fan of the 13 fishing rods and picked up 6 for about the normal price of 3.
Really sucks they’re not doing the Milwaukee show this year. It was really nice not driving all the way to St. Paul. But I’m one who likes to see up close how something looks or functions as opposed to only seeing it online. You just can’t judge the quality a lot of times online.

I’d work with the owner son at Reeds – cant think of his first name but I’ll get it for you if you want. Treats us like kings. Find a few buddy’s with “man cash” and bundle. We spent around 6k as a group last year but saved huge money.
Go on an off day if you can, it can get rather crazy in there….

Gander has some really good sales on the 2017 Striker gear also.

I recommend going to the Striker booth first to try on the suits. It will be less crowded and the sizing can be a little weird. Especially for the jackets.

I wish Dick’s had Predator’s. Only see M and XL available. I guy can get a pair of Climate’s for $161 right now but from what I have read I may be too warm in these. I do a lot of walking and I don’t want to be sweating my a$$ off.

I have the Climate and have never felt too warm. The bibs especially are remarkably comfortable to just wear. They function great too, but I was especially impressed by the wearability.

I am 6’3″ about 240 lb waist is like 38″. I have the 2XL jacket and it fits perfect. What I am looking at for bibs? 2XL or 3XL? Thanks!

I think my bibs are 2XL, but not sure. The sizing is the biggest issue with Striker. I recommend trying then on before ordering. My bibs are also just a tad too long, but I’m only 5’11”, so you shouldn’t need to worry about that.

I just tried on the climate bibs and jacket this week. I’m 6’1″, 202lbs. The Large bibs were perfect and the XL jacket fit me well too. I have long arms. If I didn’t, I bet a large would have been ok. I think I’m going to check out Dicks, or wait for the ice show. I will bring cash, and hope to get a deal. I’d be just fine with apx 20% off list.

Don’t forget the Black Friday sales. Most vendors have great deals that day.

I cant wait for the ice show! I bought an LX7 from marine general last year. They gave me a sweet deal. Looking to get a lithium shuttle and striker ice jacket this year. Which vendors should I visit for these two items? I saw gander is selling last year striker jacket for like 150 bucks and the cheapest I saw for the lithium shuttle was 250. Should I pull the trigger or would I get a better deal at the show?

Last year at the show the shuttle was going for 200 from all of the dealers
