I’m going to be looking at the Marcum Recons or AquaVu Micro Scouts for a deal. Also a Striker Predator Jacket.
Looking at going for the first time this year. Will there be deals on boots? was thinking about going to the hard water expo at the sport center in blaine. would they also have deals on boots?
TIA
I’ll be there, I look forward to the show every year. I’ll be looking at the new otters and anything else I can spend the kids inheritance on.
Hopefully Can-Am has a booth! I’ll need something to pull the otter around in.

I can’t say I’ve ever seen them, but I haven’t ever specifically looked for boots either. I’d assume there would be some. I would check some of the outdoor stores’ booths or the actual manufacturers is they are there. I know the big outdoors retailers usually do a 20% off everything they bring typically.
I’ll be going again this year. Looking for accessories for the new wheelhouse.
Thorne Bros will be in Blaine I bought a pair of the Norfin with the built in spike last year they are awesome!!
I’ll unfortunately be there. I was planning on going to the Milwaukee show, but sadly they aren’t doing one this year. I really never have a plan to buy anything, this way when I come across something I really like I just get it. I do want to check out the Striker booth though as my old Vexilar Cold Snap suit is reaching retirement age.
I’ll also be at the St. Croix show this weekend. Really want to get my hands on their custom line just to see if they are up to the level of some of the other custom makers.
Check out the new Otters for sure, See what all the custom rod builders are selling and I like to walk through all the wheel houses and dream on having one some day.
Ill be trying to find a good deal on a pop up house. Kind of have my eye one the fatfish 949i but could be persuaded for something similar. In any event its nice to go and see the sights.
I’ll be there all weekend. Looking forward to seeing the new products.
Anyone recall from last year how the Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals compared to the Ice Show deals for the Striker Ice suits etc.?
I’ve never been to one but would like to go this year and see if I can get a deal on an Eskimo Grizzly ice shack
Lets just say you can come to the show with no gear in your garage for fishing, and leave with everything plus the kitchen sink when your done.. its lots of fun seeing all the new and returning customers walk the show. cant wait!!!

Scheels had 50% off the Striker floating Predator jacket around Black Friday/Cyber Monday. It was the 2016 style. Don’t recall if the bibs were on sale though.
I’m looking to get a lithium shuttle, striker predator jacket, and an electric auger. Maybe just maybe some TUCR (bullwhip and commander).
It’s fun to go to just to see everything in one place and be around enthusiasts just like you, but I don’t think the deals are really all that great, especially after you pay admission and parking. I also think I will avoid going first thing Saturday morning as it’s just too packed to even move around the show.
If you go with a group, buy in quantity / quality your complete spending power can buy you very good deals. This means you get trickle down effect. Shacks, locators, quality rod bags, clothing, maybe even a Christmas gift or two. 6 is better than one
As stated above: go on a off day OR go on the last day….last day could score demos or stuff they dont want to haul back home if that’s your game
We’re planning on making a weekend trip of it… I pull my boys from school on Friday and we spend the weekend in the cities together. They were pretty pumped getting to meet James last year. As far as purchases go, at the very least I’ll be getting my wife a new Striker jacket and some decent gloves. I’m sure I’ll find a few other items I just can’t live without as well.
Also planning on a new Striker Ice Suit. The 12 year old Artic Armor is nearing retirement. Some Hyfax for the Otter Lodge, and ??? Going to look at the new wheelhouses and dream…
We’ll see what else falls into my “cart”. Look forward to this show every year.
Augers and electronics too at 20% off? I’ve never been to the show. I’m going on the 30th. I have a “connection” to get a solid 10% off any auger or any Vexilar I want. I’m want to wait for the show to see, but I’ve got a good deal on hand. Thoughts?
