So who is heading to the show in a few weeks and what are you looking to purchase? We are heading up looking for deals on a new Helix & underwater camera.

Otter Monster Box somewhere near me would be nice. None of the Runnings near me seem to be stocking them. Going to go to the Blaine Hard Water show. Maybe I’ll get lucky there.

Done the STP show the past 2 years. Likely going to pass this year and spend the weekend on the ice instead.

I say it every year when the posts start popping up…there’s no way I am giving up a weekend of early ice and one of the best bites of the year to go stand in long lines or giant crowds of people. It’s the opportunity to beat the wheelhouses, side by sides, and the mid-winter lull of ice fishing and heavily pressured areas.

If the Ice Show was in late October or the first weekend in November I would likely be there every year. By the time the Ice Show rolls around, I am already stocked up for the season and on the ice.

    My turn to quote you…BINGO!

P.S. And definitely agree about not missing out on the early ice fishing. Can’t beat it!

In all my years of fishing I have never gone to the St Paul Ice Show. We are making it a family weekend including my grandson. Something we want to experience at least once.

I am refusing to go this year. They cut out the Milwaukee show last year so I made the drive again to the St. Paul show. I am done with the ice show until it either comes back to Milwaukee or is in October/November as others have said.

I know that they won’t miss me,but the Milwaukee show was nice in that I didn’t have to drive 6 hours to stand nuts to butts with people.

I’m in the market for an electric auger and ice hub. Iv’e been eyeing both the strikemaster 40v and an eskimo/otter hub style shack. Going on Sunday this year hoping to get a deal. Fingers crossed )

Debating it since it isn’t over the last weekend of the Waterfowl season this year. There’s nothing I need for the season other than maybe a new battery for the 28.

I am looking at getting the new Clam Nanook XL this year. Figured the ice show may be the cheapest place to get one, but I have never bought a flip-over there. What kind of savings can I expect? And any advice from someone who has bought a shack there would be appreciated (which vendor, when to go, etc).

If you’ve never gone, this is a plenty good reason to at least go once and experience it. I took my son last year because he wanted to go.

Fishusa.com has the Strikemaster 40v for 15% off and free shipping today. Might be hard to beat that at the STP show…and you don’t need to lug it out of there. )

I bought the Strikemaster 40V last year and really like it. It was a game changer for sure! If I was buying one today I would want the Lite-Flite auger with the electric power head. Not sure they sell it but that what i would want. woot

I’ll be there hanging out. I’ll be looking to score a lithium batter for cheap as well. Always interesting to see what’s out there, although there doesn’t seem to be a lot this year. Might be on the ice before the show this year too!

I am going to test my luck at the Blaine show and or the st. paul show with augers/hubs. Hoping to get a deal! Has anyone bought an auger at one of these shows and if so how much did you pay? I’m going to try and make it on Sunday for both days hoping someone is trying to get rid of something )

I may go for the first time. Not too interested in dealing with the crowds and getting hassled by some salesman but i am in the market for a fish house and its the only place i know of where you can view so many houses from different manufacturers all at once
