First Elite Series event of the year started this morning.
Local guy Bob Downey is in the early lead after catching a 7 plus lber a few minutes ago! He’s got 4 fish and OVER 20 LBS!!! Sure has me wanting to go get the boat.
Yep. He’s off to a great start. he’s currently in 2nd place with 18lbs. but thats only with 4 fish. That’s already a great bag in these conditions and will be even better once he gets that 5th fish. looks like a lot of fishermen are getting a slow start. Think the afternoon bite will pick up once the water warms up a little. Strange to watch them fishing in florida and not targeting spawning fish. Its funny they said some of the southern guys were saying how cold it was. The Northern guys were all saying how warm it feels.
