Does anyone know what the water level conditions are like on the St Croix around the Prescott area? Crossing the bridge on 494, the Mississippi looks really high. Wondering how bad it is in Prescott/Hastings launches

This site shows the water level at Stillwater, it’s 681.5 right now: http://www.dnr.state.mn.us/safety/boatwater/nowake/index.html

I was out when it was 683.1 and the water was several feet up the ramp at the Hastings Jaycee Park launch. I just drove by on the water so I didn’t look too hard but from what I saw I would not have attempted putting in there at that level. That one has no dock and there is usually a sand beach for your boat but it was completely covered with water into the trees.

Some of the islands in the Hudson area are still partially flooded. The 1st boat access south of the Hudson Marina was still closed as of this morning (7/29) as it is partially flooded as well.

I was on one of the paddle boats in Stillwater last night. The river was high but the current didn’t seem too bad.

Just watch out for deadheads, we saw a lot of them.

I spent two days on the Upper Croix this week and fishing was good. Water levels upriver are high but have been dropping steady. Covered 80+ miles today and saw little to not debris other then lots of grass.

I put in at Prescott on Friday evening. The water level was about up to the top of the ramp. The ramp is shallow when the water is this high so some of the boats on bunk trailers have a hard time floating off. The river is higher than normal for this time of year but within its banks. You shouldn’t have any problems caused by this water level but watch for logs, etc. I did see some floating logs in the Mississippi.
