St. Croix Bluffs winter access

I’ve got to believe there is winter access to the ice here but I thought I’d ask first before making the journey. Does anybody go out here?

They close the drive down to the landing to vehicles. Long walk but permissible as far as I know.

I’ve parked at the main lot for the ski trails and hoofed it down the hill to the landing many times. Very easy trek going down the hill, coming back up is another thing. Pack very light and take only the necessities. Nice area to fish in the winter if you are that adventurous as you will be the only one as far as the eye can see.

Dont forget to tilt your transducer downstream or drill another hole just for that!

Thanks for the replies. Current health issues would prevent the ascent back up the hill.

I have been out of this access a few times on foot. A few have been out with ATV’s and side by sides, not sure where the came out of. Fun exploring!
