AND it’s the shortest day of the year. I can’t wait until sunset is 9 pm again!! (that means my rod will be bending by 9:30).

Doesn’t feel like spring is anywhere near right now. The forecasted high for the next 10 days here is like 18 Deg. I don’t think its going to get above 0 this weekend. That’s actual temps – Not wind chill temps

We had probably 20 Robins in our crabapple trees last week, that must mean spring has sprung! rotflol

I’ve yet to see a Robin here. I believe some winter here and I have sworn I have heard them. They must not feed in fields and yards down here and instead stay in the trees.

Some of my orders have arrived and since it is still cold out, making tackle is my hobby within a hobby. Taped some dodgers and making some spinners for Kokanee.

I’ve read all the seed catalogs already. Mushroom catalogs too. I know the sausage catalogs by heart. Tackle catalogs have been plaguing the mail box for a few weeks now so there’s nothing left to do but make what I can’t buy…..like tail stock for this spring’s paddletails. Or should I say tail stock for one of the several paddletails? Regardless, I’ve got some tail to play with now and will do round two in another week or so to spread it out and keep me from getting bored.

It happened. Saw my first snowbird robin this morning, I actually saw a flock of 50+ birds.

It was pretty cool for me, I miss the robins and it was nice hearing their little chips and other robin calls.

    It only took 4.5 years.
