Springfield butt seat pedestal question

    So, my new butt seat and Springfield 2-3/8″ keyed pedestal showed up from Cabela’s today.
    All my other keyed pedestals (standard height) have the taper lock tab that holds it locked to the base (until you press the tab to remove the pedestal from the base), my new taller butt seat pedestal doesn’t have it.

    Is this typical for all the taller pedestals or what?

    My taper lock but seats have the tab I would be worried about it coming out when force is applied from the side. About lost my daughter when I had one of my taper locks had a broken tab thought nothing of it until one day…… Hit a large wave just wrong and that seat popped out she ended up half way out of the boat.
