I went out on pool 4 yesterday and wow as expected there is a lot of debris in the water. As one might expect I did hit a log or something that only pushed my transducer up but didn’t break it.

Searching the internet for some sort of guard I noticed there is one item that looked interesting. Its a bracket that you mount between the transom and the transducer. The cool thing is the bracket is a hinged two piece and has a spring on the hinge.
So the way it works is if something hits it, it will give way and then spring back to the proper location.

So I was wondering if anyone else has tried one of these and what their opinion is.
