Just a heads up to guys growing apples for deer, or just for the apples. The army worms are starting to come out at our farm in west central MN. If you’ve had army worms in the past, keep a close eye on your apple/fruit trees. Once you see them get some spray on the trees or they will defoliate the entire tree.
I caught them too late last year and they had defoliated every one of my apples. I hit them with Sevin and they had time to come back, but this year I am going to try and be more proactive.
