Split Hand Lake (Grand Rapids)

Hey all,
My dad recently purchased a cabin on this lake. He has fished it in the summer a few times. I was with once. He mainly targeted the large bluegills and I was throwing for bass. With the ice coming, I am wondering about how well it produces when frozen. The Lake Survey looks pretty promising. Does anyone on here target it on the ice? I’m mostly curious of any hidden dangers like springs that might make it unsafe. Any help is appreciated.

It’s a pretty solid ice fishing lake, though the ice can be pretty sketchy. Most people tip up and fish panfish

I’ve fished it a handful of times and its produced for me most times. seems to be hit or miss.

I would stay away from that one!

Is the ice sketchy because of currents or springs?
