I have to confess to being an ice lure hoarder, I often buy lures that I’ve never even tied on – So after some thought I’ve promised to step outside my comfort zone & try more or to thin my collection ..

So today’s lures are Splinter style – stop signs & macho minnows
I’m curious to hear other Anglers thoughts on how when & where to fish these lures

Been using them like forever. Though I started with the more common stuff. Northland Forage minnow spoon, ACME kastmaster, Luhr Jensen cast champs, Demon spoon. I did added macho minnow and VMC flashchamps afterwards.

Having flasher is what makes fishing these lures easy. If nothing else, just tip with some meat and catch them fish.

Last year I used some smaller spoons tipped with , Spike’s or waxies, did well on deep bluegills. They smack the hell out of the spoons.

I use the smaller ones tipped with waxies or even head hooked crappie minnow and do well. The big ones I tip with fat head. And have caught it all.
