what are ice conditions

    I have a house in Spirit Lake but am down in Iowa City. What are ice conditions on Spirit Lake right now. Had good fishing 2 weeks ago. Can one still get on the ice with warm weather. Is it foot travel only? I contacted Shucks and said still 2 ft and crappies are biting. Anyone have any tips? Thanks Rick

    Still quads out on Minnewashta tonight, I had easily 30″ on Spirit on Saturday. Snows still melting here, I wouldn’t be worried about the ice yet on Spirit. Dozen guys out on Smiths Bay this morning. I wouldn’t take a truck out but many were last weekend on Spirit.

    I went out wen and thu There is still a good 18″. the shore is the only thing that is bad. I went out on my 4 wheeler By the way the pearch are going nuts!
