Does anyone have any suggestions for a good spinning reel for bass under 40 dollars?

Pfleuger president is a great reel for $50. Better than most other reels under $100.

Perhaps check out the Shimano Sienna? I have had luck with them. I think they’re in your price range. Not fancy, but solid. Hope this helps.

I’d be interested how siennas work open water season, very happy with how they perform on ice thus far.

Otherwise defenitely the president is worth the $10 upgrade.

For bass I guess I’d lean towards the Pflueger president as mentioned. I’m just not convinced that a Sienna will hold up to a bass or bass fishing for very long.

+1 more for the Pflueger president. They are a hard reel to beat for the price.

I’ve never owned a pflueger but my Bros always have spares on the pontoon I used and they are solid.

I’d go with a Daiwa Revros. They can be had for $40 and are solid. I only use to use Pflueger spinning reels until I bought my first Daiwa.
