Looking for a couple of spinning reels to put on 7 foot medium light rods. Primary use to troll 1/32 or 1/16 oz. jigs for crappies and walleyes at about .8 mph. I currently have a couple of 6 foot rods with US Reels-180 model, but not looking to spend that kind of money on the two new reels for the new rods. Any suggestions?

okuma 30 baitfeeder, in case you want to use slip bobbers , they are the real deal for that.

For cheap, can’t beat a shimano sienna. If you want a little more quality, bump up to the Sedona, Sahara or nasci. I like the 1000 size but that’s personal preference.

Shimano sahara gets my vote. Or the sienna. The pfluger president is nice as well

I have started using Daiwa Legalis 3500 reels. For $70 I don’t think you can find a nice, smoother reel. I own three of them. Feels way more solid than your typical budget reel and the drag is very smooth. Been very happy with the 3 of mine over the last year. Locally you can find them at Joe’s.

Normally I run higher end reels but recently needed 2 reels for basically the same time of setup.

I just bought a Shimano NASCI and a Sedona. I can say I am pretty impressed with them for the price.

Daiwa BG or the freshwater version. I just got the BG and I love it. I would have never dreamed of being a Daiwa brand loyal guy.

    Pfuegers are definitely good reels.
