I counted him out when he had to take a drop on the practice green. Then he shoots birdie, eagle, birdie, birdie.
What an amazing kid, and his speech after was very classy.

Are eagles now legal to shoot? What kind of birdies are in season now? I know of none?

I am definitively not a golfer but I caught the end. Unbelievable the way it turned out.

The day I walk around in shorts (with with legs), alligator monogrammed shirt, and a goofy cap is the day I’ll look at the menu and say…”cream of wheat again?”

I know nothing about golf but it sounds like I might even enjoy watching this guy!

    birdie, eagle, birdie, birdie.

I just never understood golf. A few friends of mine enjoy the sport and follow the pro’s religiously. I mowed lawns at a local golf course when I was younger, still haven’t played a round. Too many hobbies, not enough time. I guess the guys watching golf are the same ones who make fun of me for watching bowling…

I get in a round or two each summer. Usually best ball tourneys. I would much rather whack a bucket of balls at the driving range and call it good.

Just picked up a new set of Calloway’s. Will see if that improves my game. whistling

Unbelievable back nine for Spieth, was fun to watch.

Count me in the ‘golfer’ group of IDO. I used to play a lot more before I got married, now I kind of suck and just look back on when I was a decent golfer.

played a lot in hs/college/early 20’s. now i get 3 or 4 rounds in a year. its pretty disheartening watching pros shoot in the mid 60’s at our local TPC (deere run) when i jump for joy at a round in the upper 80’s.

It’s a game. No foul not being interested in it. No different than Pro bowling, tennis, poker, NASCAR, America’s Cup, etc… Someone must be following the stuff.

Everybody should be a golfer. In fact the courses should offer a steep discount per round when you show your fishing license.

Curious? I wonder what community has the most golf courses? Seems like their popping up everywhere. 3M tarten park 27 hole golf course was sold and now converted to an 18 hole course designed by Arnald Palmer and Annica Sorensun to be opened to the public. Are they built for the golpher or for the homes being built around them? Supposedly the 477 acre tarten park sold, 377 homes will be built around it the course.

I’ve read something somewhere that said Minnesota(or maybe the twin cities) has more golf courses per capita than like any other state in the country. Or maybe more golfers per capita, not sure.

There’s a lot of talk that the golf industry is dying and that there isn’t enough young and/or female golfers out there. Tough to say if it’s true or not, but there’s quotes from Nike that they ran their golf business at a loss from day 1.

Some resort areas have huge amounts of houses/condos on golf courses, there are tons of Florida golf courses that are just lined with condos. More annoyingly, the courses are designed to fit the housing development and not the other way around. This usually results in long distances between holes and wonky layouts.
