I see culprit and berkeley offering 12″ worms. What do you think for us northern types? FYI, I’m always caught smaller keeper bass on bigger worms. was thinking the culprit in black blue flake. any other colors for big worms you like? maybe something off the wall.

I’ve caught a lot of big Bass over the years on big baits…..but I’ve always had much more success with big short fat baits instead of big long skinny baits. I’d rather use a 3/4 ounce jig with a big trailer and lots of rubber legs instead of a 12 inch long worm.

Colors depend a lot of local forage and water chemistry. I like some contrast, any worm that has for example a chartreuse tail instead of one solid color always seemed to get more actions.

Ah, I can’t wait for hot summer mornings right at dawn when the water looks oil and the Bass are on the prowl. Right now it’s 7 degrees and snowing here

Thanks for that little warming moment. Don’t forget aboutthe thick dew on the grass because we have been in a week long stable weather pattern.
It was -9 here this morning.

You might want to tie a leader to one that big. Pike love plastic worms, as you all know I am sure.

I winder if it would keep the sunfish from pecking at it. I love when panfish are pecking at my worm, because where there are sunfish, usually there are bass.
