Wish I could help you there. All the lakes I’ve been to this year have been horrible for slop or pad fishing. ? I don’t get it? Of, course, I’m used to fishing lakes that if you don’t get 20 fish a day and one or two i the 4-5lbs range it’s a bad day. A 3lbser is just average? How has the deep bite been? And have you been out on Harriet (or any other city lake?) lately?

Hit the back of the reservior Wed and pitched Scum Frogs in heavy cover…water temps 80+…

We caught 23 Bass from 6PM til dark, nothing big but they really were feisty (2-3.5 lbers) I am amazed how these 16-17″ bass can fight against a 735 rod and braid! All in all a BLAST!

I spent the last week at Balm Lake NW of Bemidji. I tied on a white spinnerbait at the beginning of the week and caught dozens of bass in the pads every day on that same spinnerbait. The biggest probably went 3 lbs. I also did get a 4 lber out in 22′ on a paddletail.

Although I haven’t been working real hard at it, was getting a few moderate sized fish in the rice up until the past few days. It seems that the rising water and recent cold fronts kind of messed them up or moved em.’

Did some slopping on MTKA – they are not in there yet.

Caught about 4 dinks and one good one. Not worth the time – only a few weeks and they should really go – this year. Water is way up.
